From bars with stellar cocktails to parks with tons of running space, the city has plenty of experiences to offer. You can find that many restaurants allow pets on their patios, but we’ve rounded up some of the most unique spots in the city.
Main Street Garden Urban Dog Run
Venture out from your apartment’s dog run to Main Street Garden’s Urban Dog Run in Downtown Dallas. While there are a handful of parks downtown, this one has convenient street parking so that you and your best friend can get some fresh air and exercise with a mini obstacle course.
Other Dallas parks, like as Klyde Warren Park, have excellent spaces for dogs as well as high-energy activities and food that both of you can enjoy.
The Watering Bowl at The Pooch Patio
If your pooch needs professional grooming or a full-service bath, then visit The Pooch Patio and chill at their beer and wine bar, The Watering Bowl. Bring a friend for “yappy hour” and sip on Mutt-mosas while you wait! They also serve coffee and other non-alcoholic beverages.
When your furry friend is all done, stop by the Bark Boutique for a tasty treat! The Pooch Patio even hosts dog parties for any occasion to bring your friends and their four-legged friends together for gatherings.

Mutts Canine Cantina
One of the most popular pet-friendly restaurants and hangout spots is Mutts Canine Cantina in Uptown near West Village…and the energy is always high! The American-style menu is full of canine-themed options such as Griddle Dogs and Mutts Burgers with creative names. There are even tasty treats for your pets to enjoy, too.
Stop by during “yappy hour” for affordable drink specials on craft beer, wine and other beverages from the dog-friendly community beer garden. Make yourself at home with free wi-fi and HD TVs on the patio.
While membership is not required to enjoy the restaurant and community beer garden, Mutts Members can enjoy the dog park through day, monthly or annual passes. Parties for two-legged or four-legged guests are also an option at this hot spot!

Truck Yard
Truck Yard in the Knox/Henderson neighborhood is completely outdoors with food trucks parked everyday with the exception of some holidays! According to their Instagram page, Truck Yard highly encourages guests to bring their pooches by hosting fun activities and contests for dogs and their owners alike. It’s a great place to relax, enjoy a drink, plenty of food and live music.
Frequent food trucks include Greek Girls, Hot Potato, Cinco Tacos, Gaucho Empanadas and many more. Live music from local bands fills the Dallas air on Friday from 4-6PM and weekends from 2-5PM, but Truck Yard is open from 11AM to midnight daily. However, after 9PM they are ages 21 and up.

Bar Stellar
If you’re looking for chic, retro vibes, then make Bar Stellar your new spot! There is tons of personality and Instagram-worthy scenery. From the tufted mid-century velvet seating to contemporary craft cocktails to unique American-style dishes, Bar Stellar is perfect for hanging out after 5PM on weekdays and all day on the weekends.
Luckily, you won’t need to leave your furry friends at your apartment because this bar is pet-friendly. There is even a dish made especially for four-legged guests; the Puppy Bowl with delicious chicken breast and vegetables is sure to keep those tails wagging!
