And for those who are still stocking their bar supplies, here’s a helpful tip if you don’t yet own a cocktail shaker: You can use two-pint glasses. Add all your ingredients to one glass, and then cap it by inverting the second glass. Shake as you would a standard shaker, being sure to keep a grip on both top and bottom glasses. To break the seal, just tilt the top cup. Slightly part the two glasses to pour the drink while holding back the ice.
We’re sure your bartending skills are impressive but don’t try to go overboard with any of the flair tricks you saw Tom Cruise do in the movie “Cocktail.” Unless you’re experienced in these flashy maneuvers, you might end up with drinks on the ceiling and not in the glasses. Most people find smooth confidence more attractive than flashy tricks anyway.
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! We hope you have a special holiday.
