Clever Ways to Stash your Stuff

Apartment Living

All white room1My room usually looks as though a Tornado has just passed through, so I’m always looking for new ways to organize it.  Cleaning doesn’t have to be a painful process.  There are several things you can do to make sure everything always has a place.  Here are a couple helpful tips on how to stash your stuff:
-Drape a curtain over shelf to create a door.  Not only will it help to hide clutter, but it also can add a splash of color to the room!
-Utilize wicker baskets under tables.  This is perfect for storing remote controls and cables.
-Use drawer organizers.  This will allow the drawer to actually store more items, instead of simply throwing items in there randomly.
-Add wire racks to shower for products.  Not only will this “stash your stuff,” but it also makes your shower more convenint with everything you need right in front of you.
-Vacuum tight bags can store more with less space.  This also helps protect clothes from moths and other factors that could ruin clothing.
-Mount under the counter racks to utilize counter space.  This will give you more room to cook, and maybe save some money by not going out to eat as often!
-Buy double – duty furniture.  Pieces such as chests can store a lot of items and can still serve as a great coffee or end table.
-Store small items in hanging shoe bags.  Having a go to bag of all your small things will not only save your space, but it will save you some time, as well.  It is much easier to find all of your small items when they aren’t scattered around everywhere.
-Spring clean every season.  “Stuff” seems to pile up from season to season.  As the weather changes, put away the clothes and accessories from the previous month.  You will need them again, but not for another year.  Keep your space open to your current needs.
-Under the bed storage boxes.  Under the bed storage is a fantastic way to keep your space looking less cluttered.  It utilizes all of your space, and can give you more closet room for the things you need on a day to day basis.
