Hello! Kelly here from Here Comes the Sun. I’m back to share some more ideas for small spaces. Small spaces come with their share of challenges. One big one is the lack of area for guests to gather during a party. Today I am sharing some Tips for Entertaining in a Small Space.
More often than not, people will gather in the kitchen around the food. The downside? Not much seating in the kitchen. If you have a countertop bar or island, take advantage of it by placing barstools underneath the bar or around the island. Stools that have a narrow profile work well and do not interfere with the flow of traffic.
Turn unused corners into small conversation areas with a few chairs and possibly a table.
Small ottomans can be moved around the room easily wherever seating is needed. Beanbag chairs are also great if kids are attending the party.
A tray can be placed on top of a rectangular ottoman to turn it into a temporary table. When the party is over, the ottomans can be returned to their original position.
