Before we begin, I do want to let you know that even if you or a friend or family member do not drink a lot of wine, you can always get wine corks at your local craft store. They are relatively cheap so you won’t break the bank to make some pretty cool coasters. Let’s get on with the fun, easy tutorial!

  • Glue Gun

  • Hot Glue Sticks

First, plug in your hot glue gun to get it going. Then, lay your corks in the design that you want them to be in. You could always do four in each row, but I like this design.

Glue each set of two together first. Make sure to be careful and not get the glue on your fingers! Do each four sets before going ahead and gluing them all together.

And, you are finished! How easy was that?!

If you are looking to make a simple stamp, you can also use a wine cork for that, as well.

Supplies:

  • 1 Wine Cork Per Stamp

  • X-ACTO Knife

  • Ball Point Pen

Directions:

Begin by making the outline of your design on the end of the wine cork with the ball point pen. I made a star, but you could make a square, triangle, heart, etc. Or, if you just need a circle stamp, you could stop right now!

Once the design is traced onto the end of the cork, use the X-ACTO knife and carefully take out the parts that you don’t want to stamp. You don’t have to go very deep. Just be careful not to cut yourself or the part of the design you do want to stamp.
