So you might be on the lookout for delicious and easy recipes to feed your family. Or perhaps you’re having friends over to your apartment to watch a big football game and want the perfect party food to feed the crowd. I have it, friends! These baked chicken and black bean tacos are an absolute favorite at my house. I serve them at almost every party because they’re the first to go. You can customize them with your favorite flavors, and they come out hot and ready to eat!

You might be wondering what makes “baked” tacos that much different than traditional tacos. I also questioned why I would need to bake tacos; can’t you just fill them and eat them? I quickly learned that baked tacos are the only way to eat them! For starters, it’s often hard to make a lot of tacos at once for a crowd without them getting cold. How do you serve everyone tacos at the same time, hot and delicious, without being stuck in your kitchen all night? Baked tacos! By filling a baking dish with all your tacos lined up, you can quickly heat them up so they’re nice and warm for family and friends. Another reason to love baked tacos is how crispy the taco shells get after baking in the oven!

So let’s talk about the recipe! You can certainly adopt the “bake before you eat” idea to any of your favorite taco recipes (soft and crunchy), but I’m giving over my recipe for baked chicken and black bean tacos. Just like with all of my recipes, I highly recommend adapting them to fit your favorite flavors. Love spicy foods? Add in some jalapeños and a drizzle of hot sauce! Fan of BBQ? Grill your chicken with barbecue sauce for an extra kick! You get the idea!
