The 4th of July is all about celebrating with family and friends, and, because it occurs during one of the hottest months of the year, it’s the perfect occasion for drinking refreshing cold lemonade! If you plan on entertaining guests this year, a lemonade stand can be set up indoors or outdoors, making it easier on you since you won’t need to serve lemonade but instead, your guests can easily serve themselves. Here’s how you can set up the perfect lemonade stand for 4th of July!
Use a Bar Cart or Side Table
A rolling bar cart makes it even easier to take your lemonade stand outdoors if you plan on entertaining in your apartment community. Don’t have a bar cart? No problem! Use a nice side table for the same effect. Why a bar cart or table? It’s an easy way to keep the crowd out of the kitchen while you’re prepping everything else and gives a more elegant look. Not to mention, if you plan on entertaining outdoors, you’ll need all the table space you can get! Therefore, a bar cart keeps guests from bunching around the table.
Use a Large Mason Jar for the Lemonade
An easy pouring method is with a large mason jar that has a nozzle. This way there’s less spilling and guests can easily and quickly grab lemonade. Can’t find something with a nozzle? No worries. You can achieve a similar effect by serving lemonade in a punch bowl. Although a punch bowl would be better used indoors to ensure it stays cool and prevents bugs from getting into your lemonade. Because, let’s face it, even the bugs will get thirsty in July’s heat!
Serve Berries on the Side
Frozen or not, berries will add extra flavor to your lemonade and make things interesting! Frozen berries can help the lemonade stay cool as well. Serve the berries in 4th of July cupcake cups to make it look more festive. It also makes grabbing some berries easier for your guests, especially if they plan on eating the berries versus putting them in their lemonade.
Provide Mason Jars and Straws
Use some red and blue buckets for your colorful striped straws for a more festive look and provide mason jar glasses for guests to drink from. Download these free 4th of July printables to dress up your straws for an even more 4th of July themed look.
Add a Banner, Flags and Flowers
Go all out and dress up your bar cart with a 4th of July banner. This will help any bar cart or table look more festive. And how can you celebrate 4th of July without at least one American flag? Use a flag in a pretty vase with red or blue flowers for a patriotic look.
