Guess what Aug. 21 is. National Spumoni Day! Spumoni was brought to the United States in the 1870s as a Neapolitan-style ice cream with the traditional flavors being chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. You’ll often find pistachio on spumoni flavor trios as well. I personally love the chocolate, vanilla and strawberry combination, so I created these delicious and easy Neapolitan-style cupcakes to celebrate the occasion!
Cupcakes are the perfect treat for apartment get-togethers, birthday celebrations or just a special treat! You don’t need any fancy equipment to make them look fun and elegant! I love the layered look of piping on the three flavors of frosting. Of course, you can swap in your favorites (team colors, favorite colors, etc.).
