Time management: The number one essential to conquering stress, is learning time management! Procrastination will only leave you with a mental breakdown the night before the assignment is due. Learn to get organized and plan your assignments and things you need to do in a planner in advance. This way you know exactly when you need to do something and how much time you have! Having a planner is an essential because when the assignments build up, you tend to forget about one. Writing all of them down with their due dates will help you make sure one will not get forgotten.

Exercise: Once you’ve conquered time management, set aside some time for exercise. Go to the gym to blow off some steam or even workout at home. Being active has proven to help release endorphins which triggers positivity!

Get some sleep: When you have a bunch of things to do, staying up all night seems to be the answer. However, resisting sleep will just cause you more stress such as irritability and becoming less patient. So get to bed at a decent time and make sure to get your full 8 hours of sleep. You can wake up in the morning feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the next thing on the agenda!
Eat healthy: When we are swamped with assignments, we tend to reach for the most convenient thing to munch on. Avoid eating junk food and take the time to eat healthier. Junk food is known to increase depression and will make you feel sluggish. Meal prep in advance so when you don’t have the time to cook, you’ll still be eating better than the nearest bag of potato chips!

Take a breather: Sometimes when you have a million things going on in your life, the best thing to do is to just stop & take a breather. Take a break from your hectic life and just breathe. Take some “me” time and relax. Light a eucalyptus candle. The cooling effect of eucalyptus leaves your mind & body feeling refreshed. If you’re feeling a little extra stressed, soak in a warm bath. We have to learn and accept that stress that will always be apart of our lives, but managing it is extremely important. By following these tips, you’ll keep your stress levels in check!
