Most students go home for Thanksgiving break, but if you’re planning on staying in your college apartment during the holidays, or you simply want to get your friends together for a hoorah before the holiday break, then these Friendsgiving tips are perfect for you!
Tablescape
Choose the right tablescape for you and your guests. Ask yourself who’s coming over. If it’s all girls and you know everyone would enjoy a more girly Friendsgiving feel, then you know to decorate your table and apartment space in a more feminine style.

Placecards
Go different with place cards. Make decorative plates that act as chargers and place cards at the same time. You can use any ceramic plate and an acrylic pen to write a personalized note to each guest.

Food
Since it’s Friendsgiving, and let’s face it, college students often times don’t have the time, money, or equipment to make a delicious Turkey for dinner, you can still get the same idea with a roasted chicken or two. If you don’t feel like doing much cooking at all, run to the store and get a couple roasted chickens. To ensure they are hot on table setting, pop them in the oven before guests arrive. This will also give it some extra crispiness. Also, you don’t need a turkey to make stuffing! You can make stuffing on the side and it will be just as delicious!
You can still make the holiday favorites like mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce for the chicken. This easy orange cranberry sauce recipe is simply amazing!
You can serve per plate or go for a family style dinner and place the food right on the table for guests to choose what they want and how much they want.
