Beautiful Unit - Communal Area Leaves More to be Desired
I was one of the first to move into the newly built complex. The unit itself is beautiful with all new appliances and smart features. The windows are large, finishes are modern, and patio is sizeable. I do really enjoy my time inside my apartment. But for the cost of rent the community and property leaves more to be desired. In November, we were told amenities such as gym and pool would be fully operational by the end of the year. This is not the case. Also, not all door ways and access points... are fully operational. The communal doorcode often changes and is not valid for about half of the doors in the complex. Residents are forced to use their phone to access the property and unit. Keys are key fobs are not available for residents. So if your phone dies and the code randomly changes, you are locked out. There are also issues with the garage. The door is either non-operational (will not open to let people in or out) or is left open. Myself and other residents have been stuck inside the garage on multiple occasions. Other annoyances include the cold air being blown into the resident corridors (its freezing) and lack of parking for guests. If you would like to have a guest park remotely close to the entrance to the building they have to purchase a guest permit $15. And if you would like to park remotely close to the hallway leading to your apartment, you will have to purchase premium parking for $200 a month. If the amenities that have yet to open aren't fantastic and worth the increase in rent I pay to live here, I anticipate leaving and moving to something more modest down the street when my lease is up.
