I decided to take a chance on The Verdant at Green Valley and I’m so glad I did!
I’ll admit, I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but I decided to take a chance on The Verdant at Green Valley—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I called to schedule my in-person tour in November, everything went smoothly. LaKeshia "Kay" was the one who gave us the tour, and she was fantastic. She was not only friendly and professional, but also super knowledgeable about the community and the different units available. I was really impressed by how she took the time to... show us multiple options that fit our needs. The property was well-maintained, and the model home was gorgeous, but Kay didn’t stop there—she really made sure we had all the information to make an informed decision.
Even though she’d only been with the team for a few weeks, Kay was so confident and had all the answers we needed. And to top it off, she followed up with us the very next day to confirm that our application was received and guided us through the whole process. Not long after, we got the approval, and we were officially in!
I also want to give a huge shout-out to Devina, the director. She was incredibly hands-on and answered any questions Kay wasn’t sure about. It was clear that Kay and Devina work really well together, and I can already tell they’re turning things around here. My family and I are thrilled we took the leap of faith and decided to make The Verdant our new home! I’m confident the reviews will keep getting better thanks to this amazing team!

Horrible Management
I lived here for about 3 years. The first year was fine during the second year I experienced a roach in my apartment. Once I spoke to my neighbor she informed me she had her place sprayed a few weeks before because she had roaches and the office said nothing about this issue to the neighboring units. Also, they will raise the rent and parking fees every year. Parking used to be $25 but now it’s $45 and if you don’t want to pay you’ll have to settle for visitors which is never available. Also I... complained about my parking spot for months (due to a tree literally almost poking me in the eye everytime I got out the car and it always had ants which ended up getting in my car). The leasing staff never did anything about it. The apartments smell like weed always. The management NEVER answers the phone. I called right before I walked in and noticed Lily (leasing) just sitting there and ignoring phone calls. I broke my lease to get away from the mess. They do not audit the $45 car slots every month so one day I woke up to $200 taken out of my account because they hadn’t did their job for over 4 months and wanted back pay for their negligence in one lump sum. The tow company is notorious for taking peoples cars that live on the premises.

Terrible Organization
No accountability on part of the staff.
They will go out of their way to spam you to get ahold of you when they suspect you are harboring an unpaid guest, making too much noise at night, or when you accidentally park in someone else’s spot in their obnoxiously congested parking lot. But if you call them, good luck! They only answer their phone 10% of the time and never return voicemails.
Everything everyone else said is true:
Non-smoking community but it smells like weed 24/7
Parking is a... nightmare so better be ready to pay extra $25 to get a parking spot a comfortable farmers mile from your apt
There’s been multiple vehicle break-ins around the dumpster
Lived here for two years.

Terrible Management
The grounds are extremely nice and well kept. Access to the little pathway behind the property is a huge bonus. My neighbors were really sweet and kind.
My experience at this place has been horribly negative from the get go. Sorry for the negativity but I want to warn you ahead of time.
I've been here for only about 2 months and have had to deal with mice in my apartment TWICE. THAT IS DISGUSTING. I am by no means scared of mice but it brings to question the issue about being sanitary.
This... is a no smoke community but walking around the property, you will surely smell tons of marijuana. It's so blatantly obvious, they either don't care or they are oblivious.
Parking is a nightmare. If you don't get home before 6PM, park at the community college and walk. I don't think the lease office cares much about the issues, either that or there are some corporate issues that are preventing them from taking care of the problems here. You would think for how much rent is, each apartment would have 1 free reserved spot, well you are wrong.
The people below me liked to listen to music or watch TV using their probable $10,000 stereo system setup that is probably capable of demolishing the building. My floors would actually shake from how loud it was. I am not joking.
It is also very close to the freeway, I don't mind the background noise, I actually welcome it. But that could be an issue, you do hear the weigh station and driving.
The person who was in charge of my lease left in the middle of getting paperwork together. There was a whole issue about him telling me which spot I had reserved and I was parking there for a month only to be told that spot was for someone else the whole time.
So, I really recommend not living here. Please save yourself.

Worst Management
Pay luxury prices for mgmt to do nothing about loud outbursts at night and weed smell throughout apt. Amenities are not true and close at 5pm. Can't you use amenities if they don't bother checking printer for months even when told. Trash don't get picked up by days.
