Maintenence did not come out on weekends in in an emergency. We had flooding and toilet back up in both bathrooms. We waited 3 days for them to send someone out to fix it. There's mold and all other different issues. We moved out and after my other reviews they told us to call and arrange to discuss the issues. We never heard back after trying set something up. Empire Realty USA is the worst and most unprofessional place we have ever dealt with. Plus they kept out security deposit.

Read the reviews on their listing. Horrible place to live. They don't do any maintenance on weekends, even in an emergency, like the flooding and backed toilets like we had, twice. They kept our security deposit and even when they said we should contact them to discuss our grievances, which we did, they never returned our call or emails. Where do I even begin? This apartment is a complete nightmare, and my experience with them was nothing short of a disaster. Let's start with the basics: the electricity was turned off at the main breaker upon move in.

But wait, it gets worse. The ceiling was leaking through the light fixture, creating a hazardous situation that put my safety at risk every time it rained. And when I say the floors were filthy, I mean they were downright disgusting. It was clear that no effort had been made to... clean or prepare for a new tenant.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the so-called 'updates' to the apartment were nothing more than cheap paint jobs that peeled and chipped within days. It was like putting lipstick on a pig, don’t be fooled.

But the real kicker? The heat was inoperable. That's right, no heat in January. Combine that with the water damage and potential mold in the building, and you have a recipe for a health and safety nightmare.

As a disabled I think my experience is different compared to an able-bodied tenant. I believe Avon Place caters to my condition while ignoring other aspects.
Positives:
The surrounding area is private and the grounds are nestled into the woods. The impact nature has on my psyche is incalculable. I feel safe in Avon and on the grounds. The pool is massive and located near the woods, which is a beautiful setting. Maintenance has responded to my requests in a reasonable amount of time. Most issues... are fixed except an inoperable garbage disposal for food scraps and a leaky toilet.
Negatives:
The spotlight shines directly into my apartment, which drives me insane.
Bears frequent the dumpsters and make a mess. The garbage is inadequately cleaned from the surrounding area (If the garbage disposal worked, I wouldn't contribute to the bear problem ).
The office is not always open during working hours. When they are available they submit my maintenance requests. My main issue with the office involves package delivery. Amazon delivers to the Amazon hub which needs a code to access and retrieve the packages. However, I never got the proper code to access it. Packages delivered through USPS are hadhazardly strewn on the floor of the apartment building entrance and exposed to heavy traffic.
I live on the second floor and rely on the elevator to get to appointments. On several occasions, the elevator has been defective and forced me to take the stairs. Me being placed on the second floor with a defunct elevator is inexcusable. Read More

Fed up with this place , literally raining from roof in both bathrooms , leakage from sink and basin , broken balcony net , they just comes takes look and then never shows up . Torture for tenants
