Place was infested with bugs and mice. Pest control never came when repeatedly requested. When a dead mouse was found they left it in my trash for multiple days rather than removing it from the premises. Bugs hatch all around the apartment, the whole building smells like pot. The heat is uncontrollable and you will be living in 85 plus degree climate with limited air flow in the property. Your heat will be on from 10/1 to 5/1 and is not able to be turned down or off. Property... management changed 4 times while I lived here in one year. No one is responsive and I had to repeatedly report issues and was blamed for not following up when no one did on their end in the first place. There response was to fine me if I had chosen to withhold rent to have serious issues resolved.
Windows were broken and only temporary fixed for months by screwing them shut so I was unable to allow air into my apartment in the living room area. This building was awful and a terrible experience. I also had a leak running down my wall that took a plumber two days to come and fix.
If I could give less than 1 Star I would! I lived in a Frat house for 4 years and had better living conditions.
All in DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!

Not awesome
A new property manager took over in 2023. There is no longer security in the building since then. They take so long to respond to very simple maintenance requests, and you might as well learn to live with a more complicated request because they will not get to it. This would be fine if the building were updated/maintained enough to not need constant attention, but it is not, and it’s almost 100 years old, so there are issues naturally. A building this old needs a responsive and proactive... property manager and on-site maintenance staff. It’s ridiculous. Pros: nice old character/architecture, nice neighbors, access to park, clean laundry room, no pests in my experience.

Larger units and right at the park
Now that the construction is completed and the halls are renovated the building is really nice. I like the concierge in the evenings and in the afternoons. Apartment is large with lots of light and meridian Hill park across the street is great for my dog.
