Dover Estates Apartments

I would give 0/5 stars but the website won’t let so that; this place is an absolute slum. I wouldn't recommend this place even if it was your last option. I havent felt safe one day in this complex. I should have just continued living in my car if I knew all the issues and money I would waste on this place. Have a studio basement apartment, no functioning washer and dryer, the laundry room outside my apartment (literally 2 feet away) always has loud obnoxious kids yelling and smoking all the... time, a homeless man with a sword also hid and stayed in the laundry room for over 2 months with no action taken by the landlord after I brought it their attention, told me I needed to call the police myself when THEY manage the property, multiple unsolved maintenance issues, air conditioning unit doesnt work after two months, stovetop appliances and oven are both garbage and burn everything or dont function at all, cockroaches and mice in the walls and home at all times of the year, random holes appearing and never filled when requested, toilet, bathroom sink and kitchen sink all have leaks and don’t drain properly, overall incompetent and uncommunicative staff, unless they’re hounding you for your overpriced rent charges. Have fun setting your trash on the road outside of the constantly overflowing dumpsters, or getting your toilet to flush and not clog if you’re lucky. My family and I moved here back in the Spring. During the walkthrough I made sure to ask every question possible, especially about vermin. Kerri insisted that there are no issues with bugs and during our walkthrough I didn’t see any. Once moved in there was a MAJOR fly problem, literally had to set up fly traps all over the apartment and was killing at least 15 a day. Idk if it was because of the season or what but it’s disgusting. Roaches have also been a major problem here. We never dealt with... roaches until we moved into this place. And the cherry on top, I seen a small mouse run from the living room into the kitchen. Idk if it because of the extreme cold weather but enough is enough. It is disgusting. We've had maintenance requests pending for weeks. There's standing bog water outside that stinks, the bathroom tub doesn't work, there's one drawer in the kitchen and the dishwasher wasn't installed properly. It's a mess. 0/10. Do not recommend.

The maintenance in not 24 hours. When I had a very serious issue they did not fix it until almost 4-5 days later and by then 75% of my stuff was ruined and there was black mold growing around the entire room.

The apartments are newly renovated and they look great! These apartments were built in the 1960's but they are now getting the upgrade that they need. I would suggest that anyone that is looking for an apartment, to move here now while the upgraded apartments are available at reasonable prices.
