Palm Grove Luxury Apartments

The staff in the administration for my application was a unique experience. They have helped me in everything from the beginning. In the office they have treated me the best. They have made me feel at home

There is nothing "Luxury" about this place. They have a fake "security" gate and the property is not even completely fenced off, lol, so people from the street can easily walk on the property. It's all about optics here.

Since day one I had issues with bugs, and that lasted throughout my entire 15 month lease. I was in unit 10-208, which faces one of their small man made ponds, (where the fountains only work half the time) and every time I brought up the bug issue to the leasing office their... response was always "well you live near the water" instead of making more of an effort with the exterminator and having them spray regularly. Maintenance never maintained the breezeways that constantly have dead bugs all over. Every time I opened my door or walked up to it I had to check for bugs and spiders. I had ants, crickets, palmetto bugs aka ROACHES, spiders, wasps, bees, and other bugs that I've never seen before and I lived on the 2nd floor!

These apartments are very cheaply made. They have basic appliances and the walls are so thin I could hear and SMELL my neighbors through the walls! People let their dogs bark uncontrollably at all hours. My stairs are inside my apartment so the 1st floor apartment wraps around that and the people on the first floor SMELLED so bad I could smell the stench from their apartment through the walls in my staircase and sometimes it lingered into my kitchen area.
The walkways for the buildings facing the water is very dark. I brought this to management's attention and their resolution was the cheap route of course and installing industrial lights on those specific buildings. By installing those lights, it created more shadows, attracted more bugs and they are in violation of code for the first floor apartments. So if someone in one of the first floor apartments called Code Enforcement, the complex will get fined and have to change those lights.

They were on their 4th Assistant Manager when I moved out and she has been working there for maybe 1 year or less. They are on their 2nd Manager, who completely ignores residents concerns. My emails were ignored for a MONTH about the horrible smell coming from the apartment under me and she did absolutely nothing about it. Right before I moved out 2 of their maintenance guys quit, they were there less than a year. Needless to say, the turnover at this complex is concerning.

We made our last payment and they cashed the check but forgot to apply to our balance and then sent us to collections. After multiple calls and some not so nice messages I left Angelina called me back and said the manager or the asst. Manager would call me back. I have repeatedly called no answer and no calls from management. I will tell other issues on a daily basis until they call me back.

This is my first time renting and the management has been very helpful along the way. I’ve met so many awesome people. it’s a very quiet, easy going environment with lots of cool events to get to know other people. I definitely recommend this place as a first time renter.

From the office staff, to our amazing events coordinators, maintenance team and amenities, this is the absolute best place to live hands down.
