Please read your lease before signing

The apartment complex is okay overall, and I do feel safe, though I’ve taken extra precautions by installing window locks and security cameras.

The staff maintains the grounds, but the amount of trash visible in the mornings—bottles, paper, and other debris—raises concerns about some tenants' respect for the property.

Trash pickup is inconsistent despite the mandatory $15 monthly fee. It’s frustrating to put a bag out at night and still see it sitting there two days later.

Rent payments come...
with an additional cost since the complex only accepts payments through their portal or by debit card—no checks or money orders. I confirmed with the Attorney General and Maryland Housing Court that this is legal, but it still feels unfair to pay a "convenience fee" just to pay rent.

The apartments are very drafty, requiring plastic window coverings in the winter unless you're willing to pay high heating costs to BGE.

While I’m not trying to discourage anyone from moving here, I’ve only been here a month and already planned to leave by summer. The presence of some disruptive tenants—loud music, littering, and an overall lack of pride in their surroundings—makes it difficult to fully enjoy living here. I personally prefer a community where I feel comfortable inviting guests over.

Mice and poor maintenance

The rodent problem is out of control, you can even hear the walls moving when you sit in the rental office for a couple minutes. On Christmas Eve the vacant unit above mine's pipes burst, the windows were left open in freezing temperatures causing the pipes to burst. Property management did nothing, called for hours complaining about the water flooding into my apartment and finally emergency services were called to shut the water off. My unit was destroyed, property management refused to do... anything to help, would not move me into another unit and acted like the ceilings caving in was okay, they'd just drape tarps over my stuff while they tore out the walls and ceiling...

Nice place to call home

I've lived at Oaklee Village since March and I have been very happy. The rent is priced perfect for my budget. It is an older property but it is kept up nicely. The leasing office folks are very helpful.

Mice infected, property managers and unprofessional

The apartments are mice infested, have roaches climbing up and down the walls and maintenace workers are inexperienced.

Is there gold in the water?

Not the most desirable place to live. Living in a small apartment with no dedicated water meter is a little sketchy to say the least. The first year our h20 bill was $35 a month. The second year it doubled to over $70 a month and I just received an h20 bill for $88 for the month of April. It's like a nightmare that you just can't wake yourself up from.
