Great Apartment with Only a Few Small Issues
I lived in this complex for six years, and during my time, I had a great experience with only some minor problems. First of all, I lived in a two bedroom apartment in the 802 building. This building is unique because it's a 'half' building, so instead of 12 apartments, there are only six.
Some of my favorite feature of this complex are that it's small with no other nearby apartments complexes. The surrounding historic Lutherville area is wonderful to live in and nice to walk around when the... weather is nice. All of the buildings have some green space behind the buildings, giving you a great space to relax and enjoy the outdoors without feeling claustrophobic with another building directly behind you. The proximity to York Rd and I-83 is great because it gives you quick access to everything in Towson, Cockeysville, Hunt Valley, and even Baltimore. There's also a Baltimore Light Rail stop about 5 minutes away. The apartments are older leading to some creaks and groans from the floor above you if you live on the first or second floor, but because of the age, the walls are relatively thick and mostly sound proof.
The leasing office is located in one of the buildings in the complex and they have some pretty decent office hours five or six days a week (open the 1st and 3rd Saturday). They're incredibly nice and quick to respond to requests and questions.
Now for some of the minor negatives: The complex is owned by Apartment Services, Inc. which services 40 communities. While this isn't as much of an issue with maintenance since each community has at least one maintenance person with a few maintenance people that cover all communities, the one time it is an issue is snow days. Being one of the smallest complexes (if not THE smallest), some times, the initial snow removal may come at 8 or 9 AM on a weekday, which makes it difficult for anyone leaving before then. Also, the small size of the community limits where the snow can go, so you often lose some parking spaces for a period of time (depending on how much snow has fallen).
While maintenance is usually quick to respond, but some maintenance issues took some 'convincing' to get them to further investigate the issue. For example, a leak in my bathroom ceiling took multiple calls for them to fix and not just patch the hole that developed.
Overall a great complex that I would still highly recommend for people looking for a quiet, convenient place to live.
