Formally Alden Apartments. This place is a dump. They changed names to try to improve image and reviews. When I moved in my gas range caught on fire when I turned it on because they didnt clean it. My fridge failed and all my food spoiled. My internet was never installed properly and ran through my window so I couldnt close my window fully even during the winter. Heat problems multiple times during winter. My storage unit was broken into and both my Xbox and PlayStation were stolen but the… management didnt tell me -- just tossed a lock on and mixed my stuff up with random people's stuff. I got my stuff back because they made all codes 0000 on all units. My car was broken into twice and window shattered. I called 911 once becuase I had a woman screaming from what I assume was human trafficking. Drug deals happened regularly. Graffiti and gang activity nearby. Homeless people squatting. No security. Rats, bugs. There was a trash problem that happened and the apartment complex didn't pay their trash bill so trash piled up for 3 months. No garage parking anywhere within 2 blocks. No in-unit laundry. One time my mom was visiting and someone tried to open my apartment door and get in. 284 sqft units are tiny and don't even have closets. Washing machines don't work and take your money.

I lived here 18 months and management changed 3 times from YellowTree to BlackBridge to Lion Rock.

DO NOT LIVE HERE

I can’t even start to explain how horrid my experience has been living here. Stolen items from my unit, broken windows and doors, horrendous maintenance response time, people breaking in, the property manager is never in, hardly anyone responds to emails and the list goes on.

If you have a maintenance issue good luck getting it fixed. Normal wait time to have an issue addressed is between 3 weeks and 2 months.

Apartments are old and don’t have the ability to run more than one appliance so you… need to use the breaker board to turn appliances on and off.

Also they delete negative reviews so do not trust the ratings online. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

RUN

For the majority of my tenancy, the back door has either broken or tampered with. Random people were sleeping in the hallways. One does never know if there is going to be heat day to day. Fred and Ginger, my mice, have had permanent residency since day one even with the measures of exterminating them. DO NOT use the storage unit that is provided free of charge. It was destroyed and I lost a lot of property.
The last maintenance company was subpar and the new one is almost worse.

Great amenities, walkable to everything

I've loved my time living at Alden. The amenities are awesome. Free coffee and super nice fitness center (with a stair stepper!) Walkable to everything including Lunds. Highly recommend this place.

you get what you pay for

Cheap rent, cheap management. Washer and dryers are always broken and never seem to be replaced. You’re lucky if you can do a load of laundry without the machine breaking or eating your money. Amenities and the location are nice but not very safe.
