The complex is in a great area , next to a great school, and directly in front of the Parham Bridges Park, however; lack of professional amongst the office staff has been a negative since my stay . I was at critical moment in my life where my vehicle was being broken into multiple times at another apartment complex and was looking for a different part of Jackson to live in . I was not paying rent at the old apartment complex and made a decision to move as I did not want to live with the agony of... having to random get up throughout the night checking my vehicle . The process was very annoying as the leasing office called serval times be for my move in date trying to offer me other apartments other than the townhouse I had selected . Come to find out , the townhouse I wanted was no longer available and they failed to tell me that before I forwarded my mail. So yea , had to reforward my mail after they gave me another vacancy and had to sign another lease agreement . Communication is the #1 problem with that leasing office . Very last minute , and very unprofessional . Then , when I moved in, there were roaches in the kitchen and the shower rode comely fell, as if it was some type of stick on product as it was never completely attached to the bathroom wall. You can clearly tell these apartments are not cleaned probably before a customer moves in . My husband does maintenance at another complex and I can promise you not one roach would be meting you in the kitchen and him and his staff clean like hell ! Speaking of the roaches , the first one I saw was in the stove where the time and date is . The roach was covering up some of the time but somehow I managed to get ride of them . Lastly , the office staff is very much unforgiving , in my opinion . I’ve paid my rent since I have been there but there are times I have been a few days late . It is baffling how they have no problem charging $100 late fee if you don’t pay by the 5th, but within the next week you can get an eviction notice and have to move out within 3 days . Although I didn’t have to pay rent at the complex I left, I do know that they did give residents at least 30 days to catch up , even after tackling on the late fee . This apartment complex “ THE PEARLES” is very cut and dry and there is no grace . They are quick to add a late fee but will send you an eviction notice within the same week if you are late . The only way to avoid it is calling the office every single time you are going to be late .
