Leasing staff in dissaray
The leasing staff turned off the payment portals for over a week, not allowing residents to pay online. After a week of inactivity, they emailed us on Friday letting us know the portal was active. Then, if you did not check your email over the weekend like me, you were charged a late fee for not paying rent, claiming it was past the "grace period" (again you could not pay earlier, and I did not even know it was an option).
I have not paid late, and I would not have paid late if I was able to... pay on time or if I was even told I had to pay by a certain date. Instead, I was charged a late fee because their website was broke and I did not constantly check my email.
