Don't do this to yourself
When you first apply for the apartments as a young adult knowing not much of anything about apartments they'll assure you that you can't find a better price for place like this. Only after getting the cheapest apartment I could've did I realize that a 5br has comparable prices to a 1br in New York City which is notorious for overcharging residents to the point it reaches some records. If anything breaks that isn't directly going to kill you, expect to deal with it for at least four days, this... includes heat/ac. The entire building is falling apart. The other day a massive light was just swaying in the wind above people's heads by a single wire, the counters when we first moved in were inexplicably leaking oil, they just forgot about pieces of furniture we were supposed to recieve or just left it in parts, we got the parts and it took a month before we even got them to build/replace it. Knowing someone personally who helped build this place, the details of how badly it was put together is honestly horrifying. There was a point where the entire middle building was sinking and rotating because they forgot to account for the weight of HUMANS in the apartment complex. Luckily they fixed that, but it was interesting. I've had packages stolen and reported to everyone I could but they just said they couldn't do or prove anything despite there being cameras everywhere. Numbers on the walls fall off to the point that it's comical and a running joke, the pool opened for September and immediately closed the next day for a good amount of time because it turned green, entire stairwells will smell horrible with no explanation or source. The list goes on. Some places you can't hear anyone or anything, but other rooms you can straight up hear your neighbor use the bathroom. Might as well say hello at that point. The paint comes off the walls very very easily to the point where I know someone who uses light masking tape to hang things up which still takes the paint off. They were dishonest about the process in which to pay your rent earlyand didn't keep up or correct it because, "we don't technically have to." The only reason I'm still here is because there's a fee to break lease and Apex has made me too broke to pay it. Hopefully you see this before it's too late and you haven't actually bought the apartment yet. If that's not the case, good luck.
