Staff here could care less.

The maintenance staff consists of a few old alcoholic men who use caulk, duct tape, and spackle to fix EVERYTHING. They make you feel like they are so inconvenienced when they FINALLY (after about 4-5 phone calls, eventually you have to go to the office with pictures and complain.. Then they come and slap some caulk on one or two of your list of complaints.) The appliances are extremely outdated, the carpet is the absolute cheapest on the market, and the tile looks like it was done by a drunk... monkey. To top everything off it always smells like a cesspool ESPECIALLY when it rains, and twice a week when they are full. They pump the cesspools out twice a week, the trucks are loud & all you can smell is the awful odor. Cesspool guys have actually told me how awful the basements of these apartments are and how Brookwood refuses to spend money to fix the problem or clean the ridiculous amount of slime and grease out of the basement. The laundry rooms? HAHA they are filthy. Cigarette butts all over the floors and just nasty dirt, leaves, PUDDLES. You're lucky if 2 out of 3 washing machines are working. I've had clothes come out with stains in them. I ruined a BRAND NEW set of sheets. They came out stained with a nasty rust color I brought them into to my apartment, wet, and soaked them in the tub then scrubbed them, stains never came out. Speaking of the tub at least once a month it fills with 2-3" of CESSPOOL waste. What does Brookwood do? Pump the cesspools. That's all. An apology? No. Credit to your rent for making you scrub human feces out of your tub? Nope. Cars get broken into on a regular basis. Bring your own shovel because they wait until the snow stops & shovel the next morning around 10am. We moved in because we were in desperate need of an apartment, I'd like to say you get what you pay for here but you get so much less. I can see every single spot that has ever been spackled. We've been here 9 months and I can't wait until our lease is up! When you see a big sign that says "UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT, COMPLETELY NEW MAINTENANCE TEAM" then maybe consider looking at apartments. If you do choose Brookwood - Check the dishwasher for maggots, look in every corner for bugs, make sure EVERYTHING works. Bring something to plug in to check the outlets.. Because like I said, once you move in they ignore ALL maintenance requests until you make a HUGE deal about it.. Then maintenance shows up and treats you like it's not their job to fix their sloppy half done work.
