Ridiculous
When you move in they do not want a security deposit, but they do want a "non-refundable fee" that is the same amount. When I moved out, I was sent a bill for $750 to replace carpet due to having cats. I was then told that the monthly Pet Fee that I paid does not apply to any damages, but is only something "normally" charged for having a pet.
Also, for both summers that we lived here, we were infested by gnats: I mean 10-20 dead on the counters every day and swarms of them around the trash and... kitchen. When they sent out pest control, they just told us to put out our own traps.
Almost constantly we heard dogs barking and people talking through the walls and from outside.
