Be very careful doing business with The Everly. I applied to rent an apartment online ( I live in a different state). All was going well until I was told there was no elevator in the building they were renting. I am 75 and need an elevator. In discussions with the agent, I had told him I wanted a 2nd floor and mentioned that on occasion I would walk up a flight for exercise but for daily use, I needed an elevator. A few days later, I inquired about a freight elevator large enough for... furniture. THAT is when I was told there was no elevator in that building at all. They did not have another apartment comparable to the one I wanted so I had to cancel. Of the $499 I gave them for the application and credit fees, they refunded $299. It wasn’t easy even getting that much back. If you are considering the Everly, make sure you SPELL EVERYTHING OUT FOR THEM before hand and get it in writing. Make sure you ask the price of all the “amenities” because everything is an additional charge. They also charge $50 per mont to rent the washer and dryer in your unit!!! I did not know this until I saw it on the lease. They nickel and dime you for everything. You will end up paying much more than you think. Be very diligent and ask questions if you consider applying to The Everly.
