Superficially beautiful
The apartments themselves are superficially beautiful but the build quality and management is subpar.
First the good is that I love having huge windows and the maintenance people are very prompt to respond to requests when things break down (which is often).
However, I decided to not renew my lease after two years because problems have continued to accumulate in every other realm: my butcher block island has peeling wood; the mini-fridge has broken down twice and leaked all over my kitchen;... the walls are painted with a single layer of paint so that even brushing up against them causes black streaks; there is often a rotting smell throughout the apartment complex late at night and in the mornings ; the "gated" community is a joke since all of the gates broke the first year and have been that way since; none of the windows open despite my living on the second floor and not a high rise; the windows have only been washed once since I moved here and are covered in streaks of paint from when the apartment next door was getting built. The parking situation is horrible. There's only enough spots for residents to park in the surface lot but towing is not enforced so I've had to park on the street. Finally, the management is terrible at responding to resident requests. I've lived here two years and have never had an email request receive a response except for when I decided to no longer renew my lease.
Exxir relies completely on being the biggest name in Bishop Arts and superficial features that will attract millennials rather than build quality and quality of life. I would not recommend people live here.
