Roach infested and black mold

I moved in on 11/16 and have had several issues with the dwelling. It is roach-infested and there is black mold. My maintenance requests have been ignored so I am moving out. Please research GVA Property Management before moving here and you will understand why.

Average

Pros: close to UTRGV, cable,water and Wifi included in rent. cheap rent, you can park anywhere. somewhat friendly staff.

Negative: Roach and Fleas infested due to cats that live around the complex which are a bunch. they take years to fix water leaks. Overall the apartments are not taken care of the complex seems old and new owners dont invest right.

Roach and mice infested, leaking roofs, mold, and sewage problems

I've lived here for years because of the price for the space, however... It is impossible to get anything fixed by management, they will ignore you completely. Bedrooms and living room do not have dedicated light fixtures, just outlets controlled by a light switch. Management is dropping serious money to renovate their office and add an exercise area/ computer lab while there's holes in our roof, there's so much mold, and best of all ROACHES and MICE. I hope you like sharing a bed with roaches,… that will be your reality. And they have the audacity to raise rent last year "because our neighbors [owned by the same company] are raising their prices". They also allow businesses to mail their tenants tons of junk mail. Do not live here, run far far away.

No lights

The apartment is akward in the layout plan,there is no lighting in the bedroom which gives it a dark feel, there is also no washer and dryer. The kitchen is small with little counter space.
