Bad apartments, bad management
Let me start by saying I never write reviews, but I will if it saves one person the headache of living at the Fairway Apartments. Problems with this apartment include, A/C that is inadequate for most standards, it was routinely in the 80s on the inside of the apartment during the spring and summer. My electricity bills were well over 300$ for most months due to the A/C running 24/7 trying to keep up with the heat. When I complained to the office they said the A/C was functioning as best it could... . And that as long as it was 20 degrees cooler inside than out they were not going to do anything about it.
The water billing which is done by the apartment complex was over 100$ each month not based on our usage but a formula the apartment complex uses to split up the bill. The larger the apartment the more you will pay due to square footage being a factor in the formula.
Other problems I faced was during the rain, water was getting into my apartment and after several complaints to the apartments, I then had to get the city involved to get more than the bare minimum of effort in fixing the problem from the apartments. After months the issue was resolved.
Other issues I had with the apartments is it is right down the street from a hospital and the walls are very thin so you hear every emergency vehicle that passes by.
Before the move out date I was told by the office I had until the office closed to turn in my keys and we had requested a in person walk through. Upon my moveout date we received a call from the office asking if we have moved out yet and if we did not give them enough time to handle their paper work we would be charged for another day. They then proceeded to do a walk through before our scheduled time.
All together these apartments seem like a good deal, but the savings you get on rent will quickly be lost in high utilities, and terrible living conditions.
