Eh. It's fine I guess.
I'll start with the good. The location is the best part. My commute to work while I lived here was 8 minutes, the best HEB in town is around the corner, and its immediate access to wurzbach is so lovely. Both the old and new maintenence teams were quick and competent, the new office staff is friendly and helpful, pest control is wonderful (I haven't seen a single roach!), the complex is pretty quiet even including the air traffic, and the area is relatively safe. Now for the bad. The apartments... are incredibly over priced for quality - everything breaks! The landscaping is depressing, every time another patch of grass dies they just add more rocks. My apartment has water damage everywhere, stains on the ceiling and ancient super warped plywood cabinets. The cabinets are so warped from water damaged they're disgusting on the inside. The dishwasher keeps breaking and there seems to always be water issues for everyone. The AC looks like it's older than me and they won't replace it, they just keep adding coolant when it breaks again. Which makes our electric bill insane. I paid less when I lived in a 3k sq ft house! The ancient stovetop oven cannot hold a consistent temperature so I hope you don't like baking, you'll somehow burn and undercook even pre made cookie dough. And finally, I've had more than one neighbor report parts being stolen off of cars inside the complex, and even the new management won't put up cameras. So with all of that, I am truly dumbfounded why they think it's time to raise rent $300 - especially since it doesn't appear that any improvements are underway. But there are some good things. so. it's fine. I guess.
