Unacceptable Move-In Conditions – Major Issues Ignored Despite Polite Staff
I’m extremely disappointed with my move-in experience at this apartment.
When I arrived, I found that both bathrooms were missing showerheads, there was no water from the bathroom sink, and there was no light in the bedroom. These are basic necessities, and it is absolutely unacceptable that the apartment was handed over in such a condition.
The cleanliness was also far below standard — there was visible dust, trash, and dirt throughout the apartment, including the cabinets, countertops, and... balcony. The washing machine and dryer were filthy, and the washing machine made loud noises all night, making it difficult to sleep.
To make matters worse, I was initially given the wrong key, which caused even more delays and stress after a long journey. Despite raising these issues immediately, none of them were resolved in a timely manner.
While I appreciate that the staff were polite and responsive in communication, being friendly is not a substitute for actually fixing the problems. I lost valuable time and comfort due to negligence and poor preparation on the management’s part.
Frankly, I’m angry and shocked that a property would let someone move in under these conditions. It shows a lack of basic responsibility and respect for tenants. This experience has caused me unnecessary stress and frustration, and I still don’t feel fully settled. I absolutely expected better and feel completely let down.

I chose to live here based on the beauty of the place, but unfortunately, after some time, I realized it was not the right decision
I initially liked this place as soon as I toured it. However, after living here for a month, I realized it was a mistake to choose this house. We reside on the 2nd floor, and we constantly have to tolerate the noise from the apartment above us. The noise is persistent throughout the day, with frequent sounds of footsteps and movement.
Additionally, although it was mentioned that the upstairs neighbor had a cat as a pet, they also have a large dog that frequently runs around, further... contributing to the noise and causing significant disturbance.

Nice place to stay
The location is really good, next to a park and tennis court, quiet at night. A bit far from campus but very convenient bus service.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!
It has been horrible under the new Katz Management. There is no communication between management and resident. Emergency exit lights do not work, multiple washing machines down for months, little to no snow removal, no turn around time given on ticket requests, the list goes on. Currently there was no hot water for a week and not a single email until the end of the week from Management. Ridiculous

Great Location, Few Updates
This near-westside Madison is perfectly located on a busline close to the UW-Madison campus. We have a nice pool and well kept grounds and are next to a very large park. While rent is still relatively low compared to many of the new complexes around, there are also no new updates inside. Appliances are outdated, light fixtures may be original from the 1970s, and the walls are paper thin. Still, location and price make this a nice complex.
