Beautiful Apartments

It is so nice here, The elevator is super convenient. This location is close to a lot of places, and I can avoid most of 280 traffic.

Loudest Place I Have Ever Lived

Do not live here. The apartments themselves are beautiful on the outside. There is a nice looking pool, a coffee shop at the complex, and a gym. However, once you’ve lived in one of these apartments for a while, you realize they’re cheaply made. Stuff broke randomly for no apparent reason. Brushing up against the walls with my grocery bags scratched the paint. I could hear 459 from my window every night while I was trying to fall asleep. Also, there is a fire station and a large hospital very... close to these apartments. The walls are so thin it sounded like the fire trucks were in my apartment even though I was several stories up. There were many early mornings where I was woken up by someone laying down on their horn on Cahaba River Rd, or sirens. I could hear people yelling on their phones at the bus stop across the street from my bedroom. If you work downtown, the commute sucks. The left hand turn from Cahaba River Rd to 280 and the traffic once you get on 280 is hellish in the mornings. Did not enjoy dealing with Arlington Properties once they took over either. Just live somewhere else.

Too loud

Possibly the worst place I’ve ever lived. I wanted to love this place - beautiful, great location. But like others have said - the noise is ridiculous. I can hear my neighbor’s conversation as if they’re talking to me. There is absolutely no insulation between apartments - including those beside and above. This place is not worth the price - look elsewhere.

Too much highway noise

Biggest issue with the apartment is that it isn't well insulated from the highway noise right behind the apartment. I have to sleep with earplugs the whole night to try to get some rest (even with a white noise machine). Noise between the apartments is very good - I don't hear neighbors, but the highway noise is problematic.
I hate the carpet in the units - not sure why apartments still have carpet - hard to clean and always smells after awhile. Wish the whole thing was hardwood.
Nonetheless,...
if you are sensitive to noise, this is not the place for you.

Its okay, loud on the weekends

Young college kids have parties on the weekends with loud music and booze. There is no one ever there on the weekends so they are loud then and until 2am you hear screaming.... I always wonder why they cant talk in a normal voice... I hear their whole conversation. Also, they have been letting anyone move in unfortunately that the age group has lowered, so I am unable to enjoy myself outside without being surrounded by partying teenagers. I agree with another review about the crimes... my rims... had been tampered with a couple times and I know a few people whose rims were tampered with as well. I was so shocked though walking out and seeing a car on blocks with the wheels gone. Ive seen the cops come a few times to write reports possibly of theft or abuse? not sure exactly.... I think if they took away the coffee shop to have privacy in the clubhouse ( I hate when people wonder below the top floor of the clubhouse and watch me workout in the gym) and stopped letting the college kids party on the weekends with someone inviting 7 people, this place would be amazing...however ill be looking to move when my lease is up soon since I haven't seen any change happen.
