Problems on problems on problems
Where do I begin with this complex…Within my first month of living here I got stuck in the elevator for an hour and management’s solution to the problem was to put flyers on the outside saying the elevator was out of order (while I was still in it) Furthermore, I was told to give my information and never received an apology for the inconvenience.
Let’s move to the bugs! They are literally everywhere, and it’s ironic that there is a “pest fee” that I pay every month. Soon after moving in I... noticed that ants were coming in from the outside balcony, mind you, I live on one of the top floors. But they’re not just in the apartments, they’re in the parking lots as well! I was pleasantly surprised to see they were crawling not just on my car, but also in it earlier this year.
Next, within the past two months, there have been two instances now where the fire alarm has randomly gone off (3:00am and 7:00am) in my building. Funny enough the fire department stated “there was a bug in one of the alarms” how fitting for this place.
This place states to be gated, however the gates have never closed since I’ve been here and they only gate off the parking lots near each building. There is nothing to keep one from just walking around the complex.
They claim to be a “pet friendly” complex, however, if you take a walk around the place, there is hardly any grass…anywhere.
This past month there was a woman screaming at the top of her lungs for help out on her balcony while banging on her door. A swarm of police vehicles soon arrived. Unsure of what happened here, but still a scary situation to be living in the same building as this.
I am sure management knows of a majority of these issues, and I’m sure there are plenty more that are being unresolved. But on the bright side, they’ll be sure to let you know that it’s taco Tuesday at the clubhouse!
Overall, these weren’t issues that I could’ve known about prior to moving in, which is exactly why I am leaving this here. There are more than enough apartment complexes in the Huntsville/Madison area, I would look elsewhere, this place isn’t anything “special”.
