Great Place
I lived here for 5 years and really loved it. I never had major issues with my unit so maintenance was rarely requested. When I did put in a request, they were prompt to fix it. I never had a need to communicate with management either, so I saw them maybe a few times in a year. I literally was able to live in my home without unnecessary property stress.
The one issue that maintenance could not fix was the loud A/C unit. It was REALLY loud. I hated to hear it click on because the fan stayed at... the maximum volume which required me to raise the volume on anything that I was listening to. Maintenance claimed that it could not be fixed and ALL of the units were loud...it was just how they were made. Not sure I really believe that because the sound should die down to a hum. This was one of the reasons I knew it was time to move as I couldn't take the noise anymore especially since I work from home.
Other than that, I enjoyed my time at the complex.

Do not move here if you are a professional
I work from home and have been experiencing extremely loud noise from neighbors and the front office has not helped after multiple complaints. This place is trashy. Go anywhere else.

Worst Management Company
If you have pets, don’t even think about moving here - ESPECIALLY if you have dogs. Even though you pay nonrefundable fees upfront for your pet, you WILL NOT get your refundable security deposit returned. They remove carpet after every pet, but will charge you several hundred dollars if there are any stains on the underside of the carpet. Not to mention, the dog park is poorly constructed, and is a giant Petri dish of bacteria. It’s constantly muddy, poop never gets picked up, and the dog... fountain is never cleaned. YOUR DOG WILL GET SICK. Every single dog owner I’ve talked to confirmed their dog caught a nasty stomach bug on the property - and not just once. It’s highly contagious and causes severe illness that requires medical attention (or in a few cases including my own, emergency attention). Dog stations are always overflowing with poop bags and the poop bags are always empty. Which equals people not picking up poop. Which equals more sick dogs.
Also keep in mind, this IS NOT A GATED COMMUNITY. After speaking with multiple residents, the gates haven’t fully worked since at LEAST 2018. There is one open gate at ALL TIMES. Someone’s bike parts were stolen from the property recently, and crackheads have banged on random doors & windows at 12:30 am. Don’t worry about complaining, all you’ll be told is “all amenities can be taken away at any point because there aren’t amenity fees” by the property manager Karin.
Lastly, you can’t transfer units. They will let you out of your lease, and lease you a different apartment. That means you pay ALL deposits again, and your lease is renewed at the date you move into the new unit. We had to pay the $400 deposit for our new unit before signing a lease to “save” it from being leased to someone else. Then they tried to force us to sign the transfer commitment before letting us see the new unit. Luckily, this situation was worked out and we were given a different unit. We were ALSO told we would get our refundable portion of our security deposit back from our old unit ($200), then 32 days later we were told we were NOT getting it back due to dog urine on a carpet they replace ANYWAY! Then we were told we OWED money for the carpet! The disorganization is absolutely outrageous.
They also won’t salt the parking lot when it snows/ices. At least they salt the sidewalks to avoid getting sued lol.

Don't Move Here. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
This place is an absolute joke. Save your time, sanity, and money. As someone who currently lives here until the end of my lease I would advise anyone to consider looking elsewhere, such as 49 West. When we moved in the apartment was infested with fleas. When calling the front office they tried to deny it and convince us that WE brought them, except we didn't have any pets and all of our furniture was brand new and still in the boxes. After arguing with them they finally sent someone out to take... a look, and man was that a JOKE. He casually strolled around for about a minute and a half and left saying he didn't see anything. After catching some in a plastic bag and showing them nothing still got done so we finally had to take care of it ourselves. Especially don't move here if you have dogs. I've had my dog for less than 6 months and it's gotten sick 3 times due to the fact that they don't enforce people to clean up their dog's poop. Most of the staff here is a joke. I had a noise complaint, due to the fact my upstairs neighbors were causing so much noise pictures on my walls were shaking, and when contacting the main office PEDRO suggested I take care of it myself because it could be a great way to make some new friends. Excellent. Because that's definitely why I pay my monthly rent. Also, be careful what they tell you when it comes to policies because after talking to many other tenants it seems like they tell everyone something different. For example, when moving in we were told that all carpets in the units are always replaced when someone moves out, it turns out that that’s not “true” and they only change it if you have a pet AND they charge you for it no matter what (when you ask for proof of the "pet damage" they can't show viable proof). All of the office staff is sketchy and unprofessional and in the end they do whatever they can to get the highest amount of money from you whether it’s warranted or not. I could definitely go on longer, but all in all do yourself a favor and don't move here. Your money is better spent somewhere else.
