Management team was horrible

The management team was very unresponsive. I have noticed them about my intention of breaking the lease due to personal issue multiple times and received no response. After I left the property they charged me the following month + fee of breaking the lease and threatened me with legal action AFTER 25 days of not responding my email.

I love living here!

This complex is such a fun place to be! Not only are there resident activities there is a pool in every complex, access to a gym, security protected mailboxes, and an activity center where you can play pool with friends or make a cup of coffee. The environment is very welcoming and I think anyone would like living here just as I do.

Affordable and Convenient

I would highly recommend anyone to live here!

I have been living at University Pointe for almost a year now and have also renewed with them for another year. For the most part this place is pretty good. As said in the title, it is affordable and convened. It is close to campus and doesn't cost as much as the high rises do.

There is pest control that comes in every Friday to help knock out bugs. I have never had an issue with bugs before.

There is a maintained team that is on call 24/7 as...
well as resolves issues quickly. I had my AC broken and they gave me a portable one for the night and fixed it the next day. Very fast and reliable.

I loved the pools and I am out there often with my friends or alone reading a book. The only thing I would really like is a hot tub so my friends and I can hangout during the cold nights are sit in it after a long day of work.

Other than that the only complaints I have is that the walls are a little thin and the insides may look a little outdated like the kitchen, but everything works fine.

The staff is also very helpful and really makes me feel like my issues are heard and are resolved immediately. The property Manager Kathy is very nice and is willing to work with you through any issues.

Hi there, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience! We are always looking for ways to improve, and a hot tub is a great idea. Thanks for your suggestion! We will keep that in mind during future improvements. Please let... us know if there's ever anything we can do for you.

Do not live here unless you absolutely have to

The first day we moved in, we had cockroaches (plural) come out of the sink. Kathy (the manager) told us to just pour bleach down the drain and we'd be fine. That's disgusting.

Also when we moved in, our bathtub was rusted out from the bottom. It was leaking everywhere on Day 1. They had to completely demolish and replace it. It took an entire month. We had to shower in a different building during the process. Kathy said she'd give us a month's worth of rent credit, but she actually shorted us...
four days worth of credit. We were basically told "Sorry, you get what you get."

For about two months, between November and January, we didn't have any hot water whatsoever. Neither did anyone else in the complex. I thought it was just because Arizona didn't have water heaters (I'm from the Midwest) but it was actually because the plumbing was bad. For the last two months (Feb-Apr), they've been replacing the plumbing for "plumbing upgrades" but they're terrible "upgrades" at best. The shower water is horribly inconsistent. It goes from freezing cold to scorching hot WHILE you're taking the shower.

Speaking of shutting off water, THEY SHUT OFF OUR WATER DURING CHRISTMAS WEEKEND. I'm not even kidding. They said our shower was leaking underground AGAIN. They shut it off on December 22nd (Thursday) and no matter how many times I called emergency maintenance to get them to turn it back on, they didn't turn it back on until TUESDAY THE 27TH. I was lucky to have an AnyTime Fitness membership so I could go shower there, but it was absolutely miserable. We got our five days of rent credit though - yippee.

Kathy told us on the 22nd that since we had two major issues with the shower, we'd be able to legally end the lease. Great, awesome. But how were we supposed to find a new apartment over Christmas weekend?? Our hands were tied. So we had to stick through it.

They charge out the wazoo for rent because they can (I mean they're on the same block as ASU) but they provide the absolute worst service. I do not recommend living here.

As a last point, the intersection of Lemon St. and Rural Rd. is the WORST traffic spot on the face of the planet. Good luck turning either left or right because there's 100 college students wanting to walk in front of traffic at any given moment. If you drive, save yourself the time and money and move a mile down the road instead. Do not live here if you have the choice.
