Maintenance Team With Spence of Urgency
Brian, part of the maintenance team took care of the situation ASAP. I’m thankful for the service that Atwood apartments provides for their tenants. With all the negative reviews on here with one star, all Apartments has their pros and cons, but I believe here at Atwood Apartments at least they care about their tenants and provide great service when needed.

Roaches
DO NOT RENT HERE!! There is a huge roach problem going on. I asked for an exterminator to be schedule for my appartement and the people in the office care less about it. When I came for the 3 rd time (?) to inquire why the exterminator did not come to my apartment the response was “ Just come down, I misunderstood he needs to go inside the appartement”. The management does not want to do their job to keep the apartments in a livable condition. Let alone the office people are rude and dismissive... to any complaints. When I first moved in , there was only one person at the front desk who was “really working”, her name was Francesca . Since she left, there is nobody at the front desk who is capable and willing (!) to solve any maintenance issues.

thin walls
Don’t waste your money here. The walls are soooo thin. Moved from another complex in Citrus Heights, wish I would’ve stayed where I was.
It’s 1am and I can’t sleep because I can hear my downstairs neighbor’s tv like I’m sitting in the room with them.

Cockroaches
Cockroaches! Despite it being a nice looking gated community the property is horribly horribly horribly infested with cockroaches !! It's disgusting and it is definitely an uncontrollable infestation they will come in under your door they will come in through your air vents and you're going to pay for it actually pay rent to live with cockroaches you've been warned .. funny how all these crappy companies are only showing five star reviews this place sucks I wonder who's paying to have all... these crappy reviews hidden shake my head at you

Hi there,
Thank you for your review. We have a pest control vendor that comes out to the property on a bi-weekly basis to treat for any pest issues our residents may have. Please contact the office to put your apartment on the list to be treated... during their next scheduled visit so we may get this resolved for you as quickly as possible.
Per our pest control company, the types of roaches we have seen on the property are exterior pests only, American and Oriental Roach types, and are attracted to water and food sources.
We advise you not to overwater any plants on your patio or outside your front door, refrain from placing any pet food outside of your apartment, and not to leave any trash outside of your apartment.
These simple tips should help to deter unwanted pests in the future.

Avoid if possible
Despite their listing as a "gated community", the gates are commonly broken or left open. Theft and burglary are common from the many transients and/or tenants, especially the ones that raid the dumpsters for recyclables. If you decide to move here, lock your doors and don't leave anything outdoors.

Please review your Lease Contract, paragraph 35, for tips on Personal Security Awareness including the following... recommendations:
In cooperation with the National Apartment Association, we'd like to give you some important safety guidelines. We recommend that you follow these guidelines and use common sense in practicing safe conduct. Inform all other occupants in your dwelling, including any children you may have, about these guidelines.
No security system is failsafe. Even the best system can't prevent crime.
Always act as if security systems don't exist since they are subject to
malfunction, tampering, and human error. The best safety measures
are the ones you perform as a matter of common sense and habit.
