Vintage Oaks Senior Apartments

The buildings look lovely from the outside. Easy access to shopping and transportation,The staff is affable. The beautiful clubhouse overlooks a gracious pool and recreation area.

The square footage is small for the price of rent in the area. 1 bedroom is 500sq ft. At this time it is $860. A 2 bedroom is 700 sq ft. $1025 no laundry hook ups. no counter space in kitchens. laminate and linoleum .

There is a gate but no security staff and homeless roam the property at night.

After a... rainstorm with extensive leakage........
I had to pay my own mold inspector to inspect and report:

Brown Mold in my walls,(toxic only to older people and those with allergies)

The management did NOT tear down the wall, clean and repaint with specific mold paint . they dried the wall with a fan and painted over with NON-MOLD REGULAR paint.
They did not replace the sodden 4 feet by 6 feet strip of carpet affected. They ignored my concerns and requests of proper procedure. (specifics are available)

This is a community for over 55. We are all older and many with allergies.
I found out that previous tenets lived with walls that were open to the outside for years.

There is black mold in nearly all the units coming from the bathroom vents. The area manager of maintenance says the routine maintenance staff should be "cleaning the vents routinely" NO ONE does that.

The poor electric wiring has burned several of my appliances with no concern nor compensation.

I love living here! It is a pretty, clean and quiet place to live. The staff are very nice and very helpful. This is a senior apartment complex starting at age 55.
