Bad Management, Slow Maintenance, and No Safe Walking Paths
I rented here for years and never found an easy way to contact management. They almost never answered the office phone, did not respond to emails, and were hit in miss when going to the office in person. If your mail is delivered to the front office, it might take you several days to get it. Several times, I had to contact the associated Del Oro property down the road and ask that they reach out to my direct management. Overall, the front office staff was incompetent and extremely unprofessional... .
There was a high turn over among maintenance workers at the property, which meant maintenance orders went unchecked for weeks, if at all. It took me several months to receive parts for a dishwasher, and a leaking AC went on for 2+ years before someone actually fixed it. Water damage was still present on the ceiling when I moved.
If you live in any units past the dog park, you can't safely walk to the mail room or other community amenities and must share the road with the cars. Very unsafe for people with children.
The only positive thing I have to say about Sierra Del Oro is that the neighborhood is safe (minus car break-ins), clean, tons of great parks nearby, and easy access to the mountains for hiking and other recreation. Would be a great property to rent under different management and with a few enhancements to amenities.
