Awful community

They don't even deserve that one star. This is the worst community I've ever lived at. The men in the office are rude and unprofessional. We had an issue with our neighbor making threats and vandalizing our car because we shared a garage and he wanted to keep his storage on our side of the garage. We complained and Ava did nothing about it! Basically said for us to deal with it, when they could have just moved our garage, but that would have been so much work for them. They complain about having... packages, so if you are a online shopper like me beware. The BBQS never are in order and this is over all an over priced dump. The pool is not heated, there is no hot tub. Parking is a nightmare. Do not suffer through the same fate as us, don't move in here it is awful! I have lived at AVA before and this one is a disaster.

The Rise and Fall of the Avalon Empire

Oh AVA, Where do I even begin? I've been here for years now (not necessarily by choice; I live with family). Once upon a time there was a magical property located in beautiful Newport Mesa; just minutes from the beach, blocks from Triangle Square, and part of a peaceful and safe little neighborhood. Known at one point in time as Avalon Newport; it was filled with lush landscapes, pleasant leasing agents, a HEATED pool and the hottest jacuzzi anyone could ask for, friendly and competent... maintenance people, a cute little gym and most importantly some very fantastic neighbors. Sounds too good to be true, right? You're very right, it was! Over the last 5 years I've watched this wonderland disintegrate into a greedy pit of emptiness. I'll give them some credit, I suppose they made some much needed upgrades (that is if you're a big fan of gray buildings and lime green trim). The genuine, kind and caring property managers were replaced with snarky and cold rental agents that hadn’t the slightest idea how to treat us (the tenants; ya know the people who pay to live here) with any sort of respect. Unfortunately this resulted in losing 90% of the GREAT tenants that lived here; as well as the maintenance staff (which was irreplaceable). During these desperate times to ensure they rented enough apartments to keep their jobs, the property managers rented to a much younger crowd - the kind of crowd that parties all night long; they even went as far as to let a less than desirable crowd of "drug users" (for lack of a better word) move in and further taint our beautiful community.
Along the way, some imbecile thought it'd be a good idea to try to "modernize" our apartments, which brings us back to the awful lime green trim on the buildings. While trying to revamp what was already a lovely apartment, they replaced our carpet with the lowest quality hard wood (plastic) flooring, replaced our wooden cabinets with those made of particle board, painted our kitchen walls black and lime green, and took away our extra little bit of limited storage space in the bathroom. They took away our jacuzzi, however we got to keep the now UNHEATED pool. Mind you they didn't update our "older than the hills" gas heater, gas stove or even think to maybe add air conditioning (which most apartments now have). The real kicker here though is that they didn't replace ANY of the faulty pipes in any of the units. My unit alone has had so many issues it's hard to keep track of them all. My bathtub c
