If you are someone who is considering moving here I would advise against it. We found the staff to be somewhat friendly but the apartments themselves were absolutely not worth the money.
The toilets barely worked even when we had maintenance does on them. The refrigerator would often shut off spoiling hundreds of dollars of groceries.
I am truly shocked how much they charge for how little you get and I really don’t understand how Apartments.com gives them 4.8 stars when most of the reviews... leave aren’t positive…
Our experience here was less than fine, we moved as soon as we could. I would consider looking elsewhere if possible.

Incompetent employees
The guys working here have no customer service skills. They escalate situations and are never on the same page, the tenants end up paying for their lies and inconsistencies.

Best apartment I lived in!
Grounds are always clean, walls are well insulated, and the staff is awesome! Our control board went out on our oven and they couldn’t get it in a timely manner, so we got a new oven! Neighbors are nice, and the apartment manager Josh is a really nice down to earth guy! Ron and Michael are always helpful and look out for their tenants. We wouldn’t be moving unless we bought a house; and that’s what we did. We will miss this place; we built a lot of memories here, thank for Preserve staff for... being great people, we appreciate you guys!

Shady rent practices- late fees because their IT system failed
Beware, they are sharks just waiting for an opportunity to steal your money. When I moved in this year, the welcome packet had a page touting their rent ACH auto-pay system which is free and automatically debits the rent from your bank account each month. Like a good tenant, I set it up and it worked fine for 6 months. Then suddenly, I get slapped a rent late 3-day notice to pay or vacate, along with a $100 late fee. I check my account and sure enough, the rent hadn't been debited. I log in to... the apartment website and it wouldn't let me, despite recognizing my username and password. I walk up to the manager and he is super unhelpful. He isn't even interested in listening to me, he thinks I'm there to just bluff my way out of the late fee. I ask to speak with his supervisors and he gives me the number. They listen but don't want to waive the late fee either and don't have a clue why their auto-pay failed. Not wanting to deal with the eviction notice, I pay up, including the late fees.
After a couple of days, I regain access to their website and all my payment history is gone, missing. My auto-pay setup is also gone, wiped clean, as if my account had been reset. I'm still fighting with them to get my illegal late fees refunded but I don't know if I'll succeed. I have a suspicion that they intentionally sabotaged my account to slap the late fees and then shunned all responsibility for their IT system failure. Please be careful about their shady practices. I have had good experiences until this incident but this is plain cheating.

Disappointing
I really liked this apartment due the location near the "Preserve" (wooded area with several ponds connected by a stream) and the walking trails. However, shortly after we moved here they closed off several of the stairwells for dry rot... That was more than 6 months ago and it still hasn't been dealt with. We have had a significant amount of rain this winter and now I'm sure there is new damage due to the fact that they revealed and left open the studs under the stairway pass through. It all... looks terribly ugly, it is boarded up with caution tape across it, takcy! Also the staircases are not the only problem with "rot," this building also has it under the window of a neighboring apartment there is a hole in the wall due to rot. I would post pictures, but I don't see an option to do so. I really wanted to like this apartment due to the beautiful natural surroundings but these things are hard to overlook when the rent is so high. I do like the staff they are friendly for the most part. The maintenance staff respond almost immediately when a proper request is submitted (which can be done through the online service) and are very cordial.
