Great Place!

We just moved in about 5 day ago. We rented this unit sight unseen, and it is even better than the pictures and details we were given. Alex, Sunny and the rest of the staff we have encountered were/are really helpful! This building has great amenities and everything is run very efficiently. They were kind enough to put packages in our unit before we arrived. The Luxe package system works amazingly well. Needless to say, we are extremely excited to live here.

Ocean living

Location is great, bike path and beach is literally at the door. Building has a lot of great amenities such as gym, Jacuzzi and a pool. Maintenance stuff is great and takes care small fixes instantly. Area is high crime one and you should be aware of that, do not leave anything (even in garage) unlocked.

Ocean View Living

The best thing for me about living here is that I only have to walk 20 feet to get to the ocean bike/run path. The entire complex feels like a vacation resort. Upon entering the building, I'm greeted by the concierge opening the door for me. If I have any packages, I can pick them up (24x7) at the concierge desk. Need dry cleaning, just drop it off and pick it up right there in the lobby. The leasing staff is always friendly and willing to assist. There are monthly resident get togethers... whether it be wine tasting or ice cream socials. The fitness center faces the ocean and has plenty of equipment for use, although the communities internet doesn't work in there. They even have a dog groomer on site. My apartment is spacious and clean. The only issue is that since this is an older building, it has multiple layers of paint. It does not have central A/C; just a unit attached to the living room wall but the ocean breeze helps and I have two ceiling fans so I really have not needed to use the A/C (and this is August). The community bar-b-que grill is always clean, the pool faces the ocean and with a perfect water temperature. The walking score is probably a 2 since you can get to most everywhere by foot. There's a farmer's market down the street every Tuesday and Saturday, nightly yoga in the park. And the 4th of July fireworks from the Queen Mary are amazing - just throw a blanket on the beach and watch! Best place I've ever lived and I do a lot of traveling - rent is very reasonable too!

An epic adventure...

I've lived in the building for 5 years not; two different units (as I chose to upgrade after the first two years). Views are spectacular, people are friendly... Maintenance staff is great.

Recently they decided to completely renovate the building & redesign everything internally, for aesthetic purposes. The building was first opened in 1965, so the upgrades were initially welcomed. We used to have a Deli, which they advertise, but we haven't had in years... The renovations have...
caused problems with insects and water as of late....(although they're trying quickly to resolve this), and the leasing office is overwhelmed with current complaints from residents.

The units are VERY expensive. Too much $$$$ for the current state of affairs.... It's cheaper to stay in a 5-star hotel. Hopefully once the renovations are finished, it will resume back to it's openly advertised "luxury living" campaign.

When I first moved in, it was TRULY paradise on earth.
