Living on the Hermoyne Apartments
When I first moved to Los Angeles and found this studio I was convinced that I had had the best of luck! The location is perfect. I have grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, bus stops, and the beautiful Larchmont Village less than 5 minutes away! Rossmore is a beautiful street to live in. The best thing about it is that it is safe, clean, and there are trees everywhere!
I was really happy with the building too. It is really quiet and the neighbors are all really respectful. The building... has really nice common areas. They are always clean and well maintained. I love that the building has a gym, I find that really convenient. However, the machinery is a little old and basic. If you are the kind of person who enjoys a thorough work out you mind find it a bit small.
In what concerns my actual studio I am displeased with a couple of things. The kitchen is really tiny; the fridge, sink, and stove are all in one. It is really hard to cook in such a limited space. Also, the piece is old and it has stopped working a couple of times causing my food in the fridge to get spoiled.
Parking is another thing I am not happy about. Even though the building has gated parking, there are not enough parking spots. Because of this, if you are renting a studio, you might not have the right to a parking spot and you will be asked to park on the street.
As the months have gone by I have realized I wasn't as lucky as I thought. Don't get me wrong, for the most part I have been happy and comfortable living in this building. On the other hand, after doing research, I have found that it is highly overpriced. For what I am paying I could easily get a one bedroom apartment with parking and a full kitchen in a nice building on a side street.
Nevertheless, if you want to live on a main street and have restaurants and grocery stores at walking distance this might be a good option for you to consider !
