Don’t move in! It’s a good area with nice looking apartments, however the pros don’t extend much further than that. There is a blatant disregard for tenants. DURING THE PANDEMIC there have been full days of electricity shut offs (to install unnecessary amenities)— with people working from home and unable to go other places, as well as internet and hot water shut offs with minimal notice. There is constant noise and construction, as well as frequent break-ins to the storage areas, and package... theft off of doorsteps. Management is useless. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere!

We have made Brookside Park our home for almost ten years
We come home to paradise with the heated pool/spa with a professionally kept landscape. Every area of this complex holds a wonderful memory for us as we taught our son how to ride his bike here. His 10th birthday party held at the pool. Many memories and we are going on our 10th year here. Maintenance is first class service. Office hours are consistent and the commmuncation with the rental staff is exceptionally professional.

Honest Review
Pros: Usually have many apartments available for rent Can be a little cheaper than other options in the area Close to freeways but still far enough away to not have to deal with the frustrations that usually come from that Grounds typically appear decently kept
Cons: Rent increases significantly as soon as management has opportunities Management is difficult to work with and can be somewhat rude/incompetent Maintenance is HORRIBLE - I can't express that enough. These are older apartments and do... require regular fixes. Maintenance usually does not respond in a timely manner to requests. Just one of MANY examples...Broken door? It can take 6 MONTHS for them to fix appropriately. By appropriately, I mean actually getting a non-broken door, installing it, reinstalling it 4 times because they didn't the first 3 times. Security is nonexistent and in the last few years, the police have more and more of a presence due to criminal activity on the property, cars being broken into, burglars casing apartments, scammers knocking on doors to steal money / see if anyone is home.....and so on. Walls are thin enough wherein you can hear everything from your neighbors.

Good Apartment, terrible Management
I just moved out of this apartment in June. Old apartments with good space although apartments dont have A/C or lights. Plenty of parking space.
Management is the worst. They cant even provide rental verification, rude on the phone when one ask for reasons, people who work there have no clue what they are doing, incompetent, lazy and no sense of urgency is how I would describe them. I have to drive three times from my work to just get rental verification, and still dont have it, the reason... being their manager is on vacation. High school kids might do a better job rather than the idiots working there.

Incredible Pros, Terrible Cons
Our 1 bedroom unit is adorable (yes, I'm a fantastic nester/decorator/perfectionist).
While some of our neighbors don't have a renovated unit, my husband and I get to enjoy an in unit washer/dryer, pergo flooring in the entryway, kitchen, and bathroom, and a tiled backdrop in the kitchen.
The complex is in a garden-like setting and the landscaping crew keep up the pool and grass areas with meticulous care. When friends or family come over, they always give compliments on the grounds, as if... my own green thumb had something to do with it (but it would be rude to reject the compliment, right?)
Unfortunately, not all that glitters is gold. Some things we've noticed, which I respect may not be relevant for all units, are poor quality repairs from tenants past. For example, rather than cleaning the shower or removing the mold growths, they just mix some paint and stucco and slather on a layer over the existing spores. I know this is exactly the process because I witnessed it with my own eyes. I called in after about a month of moving in, letting them know that mold was coming through the walls, paint was bubbling up as the mold colonies were trying to surface. The maintenance man came the next day (excellent response time, thank you!) and just painted over it.
The other issue we had was during a rain storm. A leak happened and caused the ceiling to crack, and the ceiling fan and entry way light to have electrical problems. The repair for this was to just fill in the cracks and replace the light bulb every two months...hmm... I don't have any certifications in this sort of stuff, but I'm quite sure that's not what one is supposed to do.
Other miscellaneous notes include, quiet neighbors, many children and young families, pet friendly, luke-warm jacuzzi, fantastically friendly mailman, apple, lemon, and fig trees on the property, excellent bbq area.
