Read the lease carefully and ask lots of questions!
The interior of the apartment is very nice and spacious with lots of amenities. However, there are "Community Utilities" that cost $120/month on top of your monthly rent and regular utilities (SoCal Gas, LADWP, Cable/Internet) -- this can be rushed through while you are hearing about the property, so please be aware that this exists. Overall, it is a bit pricey for the location and I am simply not a fan of added costs that are not based on facts (the extra utilities are calculated based on... square footage of your apartment and the number of occupants -- not on actual use of the utilities). Additionally, there are many charges upon move-out so do not expect to get more than 20% of your deposit returned. Take lots of photos and do an initial check of the condition of the apartment prior to moving in -- be very detailed and save copies for your records. Good luck!
