Absolutely the Best Apartment Community in Palm Springs!

I’ve had the pleasure of calling Cielo Apartments home for the past two years, and I can confidently say that this is the best apartment community in Palm Springs!

From the moment you step onto the beautifully landscaped grounds, you feel like you’ve entered a lush, desert oasis. The walking paths wind through gorgeous greenery, creating a peaceful, resort-like atmosphere.

The amenities are top-notch—two sparkling pools perfect for cooling off on a warm Palm Springs day, two tennis courts for...
an active lifestyle, and a lovely clubhouse with a cozy fireplace, a pool table, and morning coffee to start the day right. Everything is impeccably maintained, and the dedication to keeping the community pristine is truly impressive.

One of the standout features of Cielo is the exceptional management and maintenance team. Patricia Hodges, the property manager, is an absolute gem—gracious, accessible, and truly caring about the residents. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently, making living here completely stress-free.

The location couldn’t be better—nestled in the historic Tennis Club neighborhood, you’re just five minutes from downtown Palm Springs with its amazing restaurants, shops, and nightlife. It’s the perfect blend of serenity and accessibility!

If you’re looking for a stunning, well-maintained, and welcoming community in Palm Springs, look no further than Cielo Apartments. Living here has been a dream, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!

Highly recommend!

BEWARE!!!!

Paper thin hollow walls, floors, doors and ceilings! No noise soundproofing or insulation at all so be prepared to hear EVERYTHING from your neighbors above, below, side to side and outside your unit. Multiple complaints against a individual for domestic violence. Hope you like hearing fights at 2:00am. Make sure you tap on the walls if you decide to view a unit. The construction on the units here is horrible you will have no peace or quiet. Overpriced bullshit, absolute nightmare!

NOT SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The new owners do not care about tenant safety, or longstanding tenants. Two home invasions and multiple car break-ins and all they care about is raising the rent and putting in grass that you get to pay to have watered. In addition, they are moving the office and taking out our indoor Jacuzzi and steam room to do it-ridiculous! No need to move the office that was just renovated. Another brilliant move they are doing is putting in laminate floors; the acoustics are so poor here that you can hear... your neighbor in the bathroom. But good move guys! Rent increases are substantial and now we pay water, sewage, and trash. No security on one side of complex and homeless people are constantly found within the community. NO security, but you get to pay rent like there is.

New Manager

I read the reviews and was not sure what these people are talking about (the new manager Diana Barnes). I have lived here for 16 years and she is the best manager we have had in years. She does enforce the rules which has not in the pass been enforced. The people that don't like her are the ones I sure have broke the rules. She does have a dog and it is always so well behaved and quite. She had new washer/dryers installed that the old managers couldn't seem to do. We had a very old BBQ... grill that hadn't worked in years and she had a new one installed. She walks the grounds all the time. She has always been polite to me and I have talked to other people here and they all like her very much. I am very happy we have her as a manager.

Do not recommend

Do not recommend. Previous on-site manager Josh was a little humorless jerk - every third or fourth day we'd all have notes on our doors... "don't do this", "don't do that"... in the laundry room there would be notes all over the place... "don't put this here", "don't do that"... but the tradeoff is that he kept us fully informed of what was happening, even if he had absolutely no sense of humor. He left a couple months ago. The new lady has been a complete failure so far. The communication... stopped. The monthly newsletter stopped. The monthly rent contest stopped. The washers and dryers in the laundry room started breaking down and haven't been repaired. (We're currently only at half the washers and dryers operating - not enough for a complex of this size. By the way, they're so cheap they shut off the hot water to the laundry room!) She hasn't even introduced herself to the community - we don't even know her name. For those of us who are gainfully employed, the office hours are so bad (only 8am-4pm M-F, never open on the weekend) that there is no opportunity to even see her. As for the maintenance man, he's nice enough, but he only fixes 50% of what you tell him. He somehow finds a reason not to do the rest. Leaving stuff half done is not a good thing. The biggest strike against this complex, though, is the owner. It is owned by Palm Springs' most infamous developer, Mr. Wessman - who's responsible for the destruction of downtown Palm Springs. When I sat down to sign the lease and found his name at the top I almost threw up - but by then it was too late to back out. I loathe that man with every fiber of my being and I will not stay here when my lease is up.
