BEWARE OF APARTMENT 12
Yesterday, I gave my 30-days notice to move out, because I'm having health issues. There is dog urine on the carpet and padding from the previous tenant. Nitta's Carpet Cleaning has come out at least 5 times to treat it, but the urine is still present. At this point, it's most noticeable in the downstairs bedroom. That's probably because I spend most of my time upstairs, burning candles and such. Instead of cleaning the carpet and padding properly or even replacing them, the owners decided to... release me from my contract. I was going to try to stay until my lease is up, but I can no longer do that because of the health issues the dog urine is causing. Hopefully, the owner will take care of the urine problem for the next tenant. If I had known what it was when I originally viewed the apartment, I wouldn't have moved in. However, it was masked with something, and my friend figured out the dog urine smell a few days after I had moved in.
Also, the noise from apartment 11 can be a bother. They play their tv and music loudly. Management said there is nothing they can do as long as it is outside city ordinance hours. That means most nights I don't start to wind down until 10 PM, and I have to wake up at 4 AM for work...what an inconvenience.
These are a couple things to be mindful of if you're considering this apartment.
