Terrible Apartments

During the hot summer months the only AC is a wall unit in the living room that ONLY cools that room.
The bathroom does not receive ventilation to dry between showers/baths, so the walls were constantly wet/dripping with condensation.
Kitchen has next to zero counter space. Cabinets are falling apartment.
Carpet was worn when I moved in, and in places the under padding had been worn through to the floorboards. Blinds were cheap.
County Inspectors have cited the apartment every year for dry...
rot damage to all building exteriors, and it has never been replaced, as well as condemned the pool once for lack of preventative maintenance (all public records).
Parking lot is shared with business building, so parking during week days is impossible to find.
The entire complex has a single, unlocked dumpster (despite increasing tenant rent to include a "garbage fee".) Dumpster frequently overflowed with garbage, vagrants would constantly be digging through dumpster for food/recyclables and creating a mess.
Landry rooms are constantly broken into. Frequently found vagrants in rooms sleeping/using drugs/using machines. Machines never receive preventative maintenance and would constantly break/damage clothing. Tenants use machines at all hours of the night despite hours of use being posted, so other tenants are constantly woken up by machines being used, and machine lids/doors being slammed.
Management used to do a yearly power washing of the exteriors of the buildings/patios, but that ceased 6 years ago.
Complaints or maintenance requests were largely ignored, basic preventative maintenance never took place inside apartments or outside. A private security company was hired to assist in these problems, and dismissed after roughly a year without notification to tenants. Personal checks for rent taking 6 months to be deposited, lost pet security deposits, failure to provide written notice 24 hours before entering an apartment, no tracking of use of personal storage spaces... all experienced multiple times in my stay at this complex.
The manager's apartment has always, however, been maintained and kept modern. New carpets, new hardwood floors instead of linoleum, new kitchen cabinets, extra counter space in the kitchen, even new light fixtures. The photos currently being used to advertise the complex online are in fact taken of the manager's apartment and in no way show the condition of the units actually available to rent.
Take my advice, find somewhere else to live.
