Save Your Time and Money

They are shady with how they operate and will try to con you out of as much money as possible. Good luck with parking and keeping your hard earned property, your car, safe from damage because the parking spots are impossible to get in and out of if you have someone next to you. Expect for your car to be hit and dinged up by the first month of being there. Neighbors are noisy and inconsiderate almost everywhere from what I’ve heard and experienced. People do not follow leash regulations and will... glare at you if their dog acts up and tries to take off after your dog while it’s doing its business. They charged us a ridiculous price on move out and didn’t do a walkthrough with me as discussed so I couldn’t point out what their maintenance team messed up while working in the unit, so it got pinned on us. Didn’t even attempt to talk to me about anything before sending the bill. Just don’t do it. You can find a much better place with actual parking spots and a management team that cares elsewhere for waaaay cheaper and more room.

Makes good first impression but living experience was awful

Office staff was pretty nice, no problem there. They raised the rent $250/mo in 2 years. They offer nice deals to potential tenants and make up for it at the expense existing ones, which is a bad look. I had a 2br/2bath unit and ended up finding a 3br in the same area with a garage and storage. Unit is 2x the size and rent is the same. Office called to re-negotiate rent 5 days my lease ended, I'd already given my 30 days notice. Perhaps it'd be better to try and retain people when they... give their notice next time.

The parking situation is a nightmare. Enforcement was inconsistent and the policies made no sense. A family member came from out of town and parked in a marked visitor space. Apt requires a permit anyway and before I could walk to the office to print one their rental car was towed. Completely unacceptable practice, you don't treat people that way.

Maintenance was inconsistent. My unit had old worn out appliances (oven preheat indicator didn't work, fridge/freezer wouldn't seal correctly when closing the doors, washer would tear up clothes occasionally), fixtures that were sloppily attached to their surfaces(bathroom fan/vent covers came off, plug in sink was loose/broken, towel racks and tp racks loose), and other small issues (persistent smoke detector issues) that weren't properly fixed to the point where I just gave up. Called maintenance multiple times without receiving service.

The laissez-faire approach to major projects within the complex was problem. We were given a couple days notice for a re-piping project that took weeks to complete. Later the complex was upgrading a water line and told us the night before that the complex wouldn't for a day. The rushed planning resulted in no water service for two straight days. My family had to use the restrooms at Ralph's for a couple days and stayed in a hotel so my wife and kids could shower before work and school. Office provided no help or accommodations for their mistake, it was really bad.

Low quality high price

Looks nice, seems nice, but they’re not nice. Not worth the price, will charge you for everything when you move out. If you don’t have hardwood you WILL pay to replace the carpet regardless(the entire apartment, i might add. Even if the bedrooms are spotless, due to “color matching”). They don’t understand what wear and tear is, even when they repaved the parking lot two times during your lease. They expect you to pay to have it steam cleaned prior to move out. Truly was not worth the headache.... Much better higher quality apartments nearby. Big companies like this one don’t care about you, just about how much money they willl make off of you, upgrade their apartment at your expense.

Terrible place to live

I had to relocate to San Diego for work and this seemed like the perfect place. It is in the perfect location and the apartment they showed me was cute, so I made the terrible mistake of signing a lease. It has been an awful experience. The neighbors are very loud late at night and no matter how many times I've spoken to the leasing office the noise continues. There is very little insulation and the windows are very cheap panes of glass, so there is constant traffic noise. The appliances are old... and cheap. The oven barely works. The parking is a nightmare. I can't get in and out of my space if people park on both sides of my car. There is only one, maybe two people in the leasing office that are pleasant to deal with. The rest either don't care or are very rude. Avoid this place at all costs.

Mountain Views and Cotton Candy Sunsets

The apartments are of decent quality at a fair price for the Carmel Mountain area of San Diego. The neighbors are quit and the location of the apartments are in a family friendly location directly across the street from shops and restaurants. My unit's balcony faces the west with mountain views. Each evening, weather permitting, I am graced with a beautifully painted, sunset sky. Sometimes one can even see hot air balloons creeping over the top of the mountain :)

The downside, however, is the...
parking situation. Each unit is allotted on assigned carport space; if you own another vehicle you receive a parking permit to park in the open parking. These open spots are VERY small and leave little room between vehicles. Each time I park I have to squeeze myself out of the car. Not to mention, parking fills up fast and it is a race against time to get home and grab a spot :(
