Park Villas South Apartments
There is an option for 1 or 2 bedroom apartments. While the apartments are nothing flashy and are fairly outdated, you definitely get your moneys worth, as my 1 bedroom apartment is spacious at 720 sq ft for a low price compared to most San Diego apartments.
For the price you can't expect everything, but there is no central air conditioning, dishwashers, and the patio is a pain to have. Most units have a bad view for the patio, and the trees are constantly making the patio something that needs... to be constantly clean. In result most patios are used for storage, and that space could have been used for extra closet space and a bigger kitchen that could fit a dishwasher.
Also, note that these apartments (and I believe mission valley in general) does not have a lot of young people. Most people are in there 30s and older, and I see a lot of people in their 60's. In result it is pretty quiet, though isn't a good place to make friends and the pool isn't lively at all.
Overall it has been a great first place for my girlfriend and I out of college. If you don't expect anything really nice, you have a great value apartment in a central location close to everything.
