Really can’t stress how much you should avoid this place
After over two years of living here, my partner and I decided to move out after the new management proved time and time again how little they cared for the residents who lived here.
First, it began with construction going on at random times during the day. We were told after inquiring about the noise, that the complex was making improvements. There was very little notice in the beginning that this was going on and began at the start of the pandemic. Then we began to get notices that would tell... us what times in the day construction was happening that inevitably would be incorrect. This eventually escalated to daily drilling and hammering from 8 AM 6 PM. More organized transparency was essential especially with a lot of us working from home & the management team completely dropped the ball while simultaneously seeming unconcerned. It was clear they were trying to make people move out.
Another review mentioned bugs, and even though I still get chills thinking about it, I believe it’s important to enforce that the bug situation here is out of control. Living in California, I’m not surprised when I see a cockroach or two, but it was extremely frequent here even from the beginning. Then we started to get smaller, brown bugs that came out when it got dark. We realized they were coming in through the cracks in the walls and through the outlets. This ramped up significantly when the construction began. We attempted to spray inside our apartment and contacted management at the start of noticing the bugs. They came and sprayed a vacant apartment we had next-door and told us to let them know if things increased. When we did and also mentioned that we were seeing more cockroaches than usual, management sent us a document on cockroaches and how to spot them as well as how common they are in California. So it’s safe to say that that didn’t solve the problem. We just continued to spray and put tape over every outlet and hole we could.
All in all to say this place is a hot mess is an understatement. Even if most of this was a result of the ongoing construction, the lack of care or concern about their residents is a constant thread that I’m sure will continue after the construction is over. When this all began, we were barely notified this would happen and I believe they took advantage of the fact that people really wouldn’t want to move out during the pandemic. I know my partner and I felt that way for a long time which is why we put up with what we did.
