spring gardens
I currently live in spring valley ca in spring gardens apartment complex. the neighborhood is not that great, I wouldn't go running by myself down the street. there hasn't been anything to be concerned about but just a lot of people hang out in the street and I don't feel very comfortable. the apartment itself is nice. when I moved in a year ago, everything inside was brand new and clean. the outside is okay. you can tell that they tried to renovate a pretty run down apartment complex and did... a good job om the inside but not so much on the outside. Gloria is the landlord and lives in one of the apartments on site. there are not very many units maybe 30. and it's gated so that's good. parking absolute sucks! for a three bedroom apt we have one spot and 3 cars so you can either pay more for a garage, about 100 more each month or park on the street which parking is scarce. they allow pets for 500 deposit each animal. the rent is pretty cheap for a 3 bedroom in san diego area but it's not the best apartment complex, no amenities, no gym, no pool, they do have a grill you can use but limit the time frame you can use it from. the one thing that I did not agree with is that Hoban management decided to send me a letter this past weekend about how they are going to charge us for a garage (that we don't use or even have a garage key to) and charge 100 more each month for it because of the location of our parking spot, which was not mentioned in our lease what so ever. so after questioning them about how they can make changes to our lease and charge us 100 more each month (7 months into it) the said they have a variable lease and can change anything they want. all said and done gloria helped me in the end with everything. but I will be looking forward to moving out of here and spring valley in a couple of months and hopefully find something affordable closer to San diego area :)
